This was a project for Towson University's Office of Student Activities.
The project consisted of converting a paper based registration system
and legacy Web site to a new and improved dynamic site. The new
site needed to be database driven and capable of handeling online
data submission.
The site architecture grew from 5 HTML files and 1 DB to 54 ASP
files, 3 JavaScript files, 1 CSS file, and 1 DB. Although the site
architecture grew considerably, maintenance and scalability became
more feasible through the use of include files and databse driven
content. The site design, information architecture, and usability
were greatly improved through the redesign.
I was responsible for the design, information architecture, usability,
development, project management, implementation, and user training.
The implementation is still in progress, but here is a link to the
beta site.
The project documentation and story boards totaled over 100 pages,
so I'm not taking the time to put it on my site, but here's a brief
project
overview (.ppt file).
